Our foundational product is Haystack — an open source LLM orchestration framework for composing custom production-ready AI applications.  Haystack empowers developers to build directly with our open-source framework and provides the building-block basis of the deepset platform for accelerated development and deployment.

Our users have different backgrounds, work in different industries, and we help companies of all sizes to implement pragmatic, use-case-driven LLM-based applications. Your impact

• Drive strategic growth for Haystack and deepset by expanding our open-source adoption and commercial success in a community-to-customer approach across key regions
• Apply a data and metrics-based approach to create a common language and understanding of success, opportunities, and insights
• Lead strategy and execution for key conferences, events, and meetups across the United States and Europe to grow hands-on awareness and adoption of Haystack and deepset
• Lead our technical content strategy across our website, documentation, tutorials, and thought leadership while building and mentoring a team of technical writers to scale our educational resources.
• Lead a programmatic strategy to digital awareness and engagement, spearheading efforts to develop and expand learning, social, video, and user generated content
• Design and scale our community engagement program by nurturing AI champions, developing mentor networks, and creating initiatives that transform engaged developers into community leaders.
• Partner with marketing, engineering, sales and other cross-functional teams to shape Haystack's technical roadmap, ensuring our open-source and commercial solutions evolve in alignment with deepset's strategic vision and market needs

Your profile

• A Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience as a Developer Advocate, skilled in writing, maintaining, and supporting Python code.
• Successful experience managing the community-to-customer lifecycle across complementary open source and commercial offerings
• Data-driven approach to connecting goals and outcomes to programs and tactics
• Passionate about building a strong connection with the open source developer community to grow community adoption, success, and virality
• An engaging technical storyteller with a proven record of delivering talks at developer-oriented meetups, conferences, and creating technical digital/video content
• Experience synthesizing community and market signals into a technical roadmap in collaboration with engineering and the business
• Experienced in leading and managing online communities across platforms such as Twitter, Discord, Stack Overflow, Reddit, and YouTube.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a valuable asset.
• Active in open-source communities, either contributing to, maintaining, or leading projects, with a deep commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• You are eager to travel and engage in various community events to meet developers where they are.
